[Terminal Equipment]

1. Technical conditions compliance and design compliance certification
   

   The technical conditions compliance and design compliance certification ensure that the terminal equipment of following 1) to 6) comply with the Technical Conditions (Terminal Equipment Regulations: the Ordinance Concerning Terminal Facilities, etc.) established by the MIC.

   1. Fixed telephone network terminal (e.g. PBX, telephone)
   2. Mobile telephone terminal (e.g. WCDMA / HSPA, LTE / VoLTE and 5th generation mobile phone)
   3. Internet Protocol telephone equipment (e.g. SIP proxy and IP telephone assigned telephone number of '0AB-J')
   4. ISDN terminal equipment (e.g. terminal adapter, digital telephone)
   5. Leased line and data-communication equipment (e.g. Ethernet equipment, mobile data terminal)
   6. Terminal equipment of transmitting radio waves in the terminal facility (e.g. wireless lan*, wireless headphone*, IoT equipment) (by Article 9 of the Ordinance)
   7. Technical Standards Conformance Certification, etc. for Security Standards of IoT Devices** (e.g. Router, IoT equipment)

*: These with labels certified by Blue tooth Sig. or Wi-Fi Alliance are not require certification testing, it indicate by "Guidelines for certification of terminal equipment based on the Telecommunications Business Law (First Edition) [, in Japanese]" released by the MIC on April 22, 2019. Terminals that use public wireless LAN services must continue to be certified.

2. Technical requirements compliance certification
   

   The technical requirements compliance certification ensures that data terminal equipment for next-generation network, leased line and other telecommunication equipment comply with the technical requirements established by telecommunication carriers authorized by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications.

3. Terminal equipment testing services
   

   A testing service to measure the general electrical characteristics required for a technical conditions compliance application, or to verify the quality of the communication, is provided upon request.

4. Announcement of certified equipment, and certification system related information
   
   1. Listing of certified equipment (in Japanese)
   2. Announcements of certification procedures and publication of documents for certifications, such as application file examples.

[Radio Equipment]

1. Technical conditions compliance and construction type certification of the radio equipment
   

   The technical conditions compliance and construction type certification ensures that radio communication equipment such as cellular phone (a category of 'specified (mobile) radio station'), wireless lan terminals (a category of 'unlicensed radio') and other specified radio equipments comply with the Technical Conditions (Radio Equipment Regulations) established by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications.

2. Radio equipment testing services
   

   A testing service to measure of the radio transmission quality required for a technical conditions compliance application is provided upon request.
